Safe, not adviseable: Safe but i doubt that your husband would be up to it. Prostatis is very painful and uncomfortable. It is better to wait until treatment has completed. Sometimes a second medication is added for pain and obstruction that can also occur. Sepsis can also occur depending on the acuity and age of the patient although less likely in someone at this age.
