About 8 to 12 weeks: Every injury is a little different so please talk to your surgeon. On average, children heal fractures faster than adults. The collar bone (clavicle) should heal in about 8 weeks and should be able to resume sports in about 12 weeks after the surgery. Each patient is different and the time frame changes depending on how the fracture is healing, so please discuss this with your surgeon.

See below: The surgeon will be the best one to answer this. However, the collar bone is going to need at least three months or longer before it can take the pressure of a full speed tackle or even a scrum.
