EBV : If you mean his antibodies to ebv indicate rising titers this is normal; it is the body's way of mounting a successful immune response to the virus to eradicate it and prevent future infections. If you mean his acute viral load is increasing( which i doubt), this would be an indication that the immune response is failed. I doubt this was the interpretation, but check with his doctor.
