A member asked:

How long after taking azithromycin would the risk of sudden death return to normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

5-7 days: The risk is really very low. The drug is out of your system 5-7 days after your last dose and it's effects on the cardiac system probably are gone even sooner. This is a common effect of many antibiotics, not just Azithromycin and has been known for some time. Nothing to be alarmed about in most circumstances.
