Unlikely: Rarely patients with a negative ANA are diagnosed with lupus. Many of those patients have other abnormal labs, especially for sjogren's syndrome. Speak to a rheumatologist.

Yes: Although uncommon, the ANA can occasionally be negative even when your clinical signs are compatible with lupus. Check with your doctor about other potential causes.
