Cervical bleeding: Cervical bleeding is common, and usually comes from the delicate blood vessels that course over the surface of the cervix. It can be triggered by use of tampons, or intercourse. Infection is not one of the more common causes. Persistent, recurrent, or painful bleeding should be evaluated by a gynecologist.
