Mid-cycle pain: Mid-cycle pain is fairly common. One medical term is "mittlescmerz". It is usually not a sign of a serious problem. A gyn can be consulted if desired.

Mittelschmerz: It sounds as if you experience pain from you ovulating, as the pain seems to occur two weeks into your menstrual cycle. If the pain switches sides from one cycle to the next I would be even more certain that it is mittelschmerz.
