May be slight delay: After stopping birth control pills, there may be a slight delay in return of fertility for some women (but not all). Birth control pills do not make you infertility. If you had regular periods before starting the pill, chances are that periods will be regular after. For women not on birth control, 85% get pregnant in a year.
