No: Just because you have hpv infection does not mean you have cancer. Certain hpv infection inceases your risk to have certain cancer like cervical cancer, anal cancer and head and neck cancer. That is why vaccination and eradication of hpv infection are important. Sigmoiditis-means inflammation of the sigmoid colon and infection/inflammation can cause swelling of the lymph node. Probably not: If you had rectal exam and colonoscopy that did not show a tumor mass then it is unlikely this lymph node is malignant. You mentioned sigmoiditis. My best guess is that this lymph node is reactive due to the inflammation in your sigmoid.
