4 tests: 1. Have a hsg done to see if your tubes are open and to make sure there is no scarring inside the uterus. 2. Ovulation test 3. Semen analysis 4. Hormone testing to determine why you are not having periods. A copper iud should not cause any loss of menstrual cycles.

Why is my period still irregular after having copper iud fitted 9 (almost 10) months ago? Sometimes Ill bleed twice a month and then I will skip a month. Also the length can range from 3-7 days and will can either be really light or really heavy.
