Don't rush surgery: Many pre-natal ultrasound exams turn up troubles with kidney shape. Some turn out to be no problem, while others require surgery. Depending on the problem, your baby may not need surgery right away--or perhaps at all. Very important to make sure your pediatrician is aware of the prenatal ultrasound findings. The doc may order a follow-up study, and/or specialist consultation. Do those first!
