Carpal Tunnel: It could be an acute form of carpal tunnel. Carpal tunnel is when a nerve in the wrist area gets compressed. Take some nsaids, stretch wrist, and also try some ice. If no better in 2 - 3 weeks get it evaluated.

Hand pain: Pain and discoloration of the hand after continuous work can be related to repetive stress syndrome. This can include tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, dequervains tendonitis. Give your hand a rest, try some oral anti inflammatories. If symptoms persist get checked out by a hand surgeon.
