A member asked:

Is there permanent treatment for allergy to pollens and dust in spring?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Curing allergies: All medications whether tablet, liquid or spray only masque symptoms. Subcutaneous allergen immunotherapy (scit), allergy shots, in many people over time decrease the allergic response inducing a relative cure. There is not sufficient experience to yet assign that outcome to sublingual allergen immunotherapy (slit). Allergen immunotherapy is also more cost efficient for moderate to severe cases.
