Depends on organ: Stage 4 kidney cancer means it has spread to other parts of the body such as the lungs, bones, brain, liver etc. Often, organ metastasis may not be painful unless very large, rapidly growing or impinging on other structures. An experienced medical oncologist should guide and help treat both the disease and symptoms.
