Many possibilities..: Slow GI transit, lack of bulk, dehydration, obstruction, lack of food, insufficient exercise, certain rx. Painful defecation (dyschezia) may be related to injury or medical conditions precipitated by straining due to constipation. Time to see your pcp.

Let us explain: In basic terms, the vaginal canal runs parallel to the urethra that is above it, and to the anal canal that is below it. In other words, the three tubes run parallel and touch each other, with the vagina being in the middle. If you are constipated , it is quite possible that penile penetration and/or thrusting will be uncomfortable, or even painful because of the accumulated feces that is anal.
