Same as from sun: Damage to your skin causes your body to have to replace the damaged skin with new skin. Heavy ultraviolet rays from either the sun or tanning beds cause damage to old skin and mutations to new skin. Thus, the more mutations your skin incurs the more chance you have for skin cancer to develop. Skin cancer is a result of mutations occurring in the skin as it replaces old cells.

It has UV radiation: Tanning beds work on the skin same way as the sun does. The uv rays do the tanning and they also cause skin cancers , the msot dangerous of which is malignant melanoma. This is a killer...So do not use the tanning beds!

Takes time: Ultraviolet induces a trademark dna mutation; over the time, altered cells overgrow their neighbors and your cancer risk is up. You're also photoaging your skin and will look old sooner. Please limit your tanning bed use.
