May or may not: Kidney stones cause pain when it gets lodged and block flow from the kidney to the bladder. When flow is obstructed, stasis increases the chance of uti. Treating the pain and infection does not guarantee the stone will pass. If it is greater than 6mm, you may need other procedures/treatments to have the stone removed.
