A member asked:

I used lotrimin (clotrimazole) for ringworm on my vagina lips because i thought i had ringworm and now my vagina and anus is dry did the lotrimin (clotrimazole) make that happen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ringworm is a fungus. Clotrimazole is an anti-fungal. It is not advisable to apply medication to your vagina without medical advice. The skin on the labia ( vagina "lips") is extremely sensitive and thin. recommend discontinuing the lotrimin and apply a non-steroid containing cream such as Aquaphor to the dry skin. However, if the skin irritation continues you should seek medical attention.
