Insulin resistance: Metformin is a medication which increases sensitivity to insulin. Increasing Insulin sensitivity allows the body to respond to lower levels of insulin, thus helps control blood sugars and also symptoms related to pcos which are exacerbated by increasing Insulin resistance.
