Yes: Your (her) doc can help determine if conjunctivitis (if that's what it is) is due to allergies or bacterial vs viral infection and thus prescribe appropriate treatment. Or perhaps pink/red eye is due to some other condition that requires referral to ophthalmologist for specialized care.
