Should occur!: Make sure you do not have antiphospholipid syndrome. But hydroxychlororoquine, prednisone, and several other systemic lupus drugs can be taken during pregnancy if you flare. You need someone in rheumatology to coordinate your care!

Control risk factors: The best way to insure an uneventful pregnancy to to be sure your lupus is under excellent control and you do not have any risk factors such as anticardiolipin antibodies present. Be under the care of a rheumatologist and do not stop any meds during pregnancy without the approval of the rheumatologist.
