Normally not.: As long as you are growing, your eyes grow and get more nearsighted. Also, most people's eyes get worse during college (if they study or read a lot). But in most cases as an adult, nearsightedness does not get much worse.

You may get somewhat: Such a refractive error is becoming increasingly common and may not be regarded as 'a lot'. It is common for the myopia to increase slightly and seems to be occurring more frequently after the age of 20. If this is the only problem with your eyes, then this level of myopia is correctable with glasses, contact lenses and potentially laser refractive correction.
