Lithotripsy: Eswl (shock wave lithotripsy) is an option for a ureteral stone so long as it can be clearly visualized on fluoroscopy so it can be targeted. Ureteroscopic basket extraction tends to be better for ureteral stones nearer to the bladder though.

Yes,...: Yes and i assumed you meant a 6-mm stone inside ureter, not uterus. The success of eswl heavily relies on natural urine flow to flush the disintegrated sands / fragments through the urinary tract. But, nowadays, more and more ureteral stones are successfully managed with trans-ureteroscopic laser procedures through urethra, bladder to ureter. For individual detail, ask doc timely.
