Diet : The 1st step in managing constipation is to eat a healthy diet with adequate fiber (about 23 grams a day). Also, drink plenty of water and other fluids. Exercise can also help. If lifestyle changes don't help, then simple over the counter remedies to try would be milk of magnesia or miralax (polyethylene glycol). If simple things such as this don't work then i'd advise seeing your physician.
