What happens if you can not absorb iron?

Iron absorption: I doubt that you can't absorb iron. Meat and vitamin c are two things that enhance the iron absorption from your diet. There is an intravenous iron that raises your iron levels quickly, but it's mostly for people who can't tolerate iron pills. I think some doctors overuse this; has to do with reimbursements from insurances for office infusions.

Anemia: Inability to absorb iron will result in anemia, weakness, shortness of breath and may be heart failure. If are unable to absorb iron taken orally, it can be given intravenously. Have a healthy diet, exercise, drink plenty of water, have safe sex, . Wish you good health!
