Chest Pain: What you describe is termed pleural pain, which can be due to a variety of causes. Sometimes it is short and self-limited, as an accompaniment of some infections, but if it doesn't clear very soon, i would make an appointment with your doctor to investigate the underlying cause. It may turn out to be something else, like a condition termed costochondritis.
