Acidosis: It means there is too much acid in your blood at the expense of more negatively charged substances (anions) being consumed (bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) (sodium bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate)) and chloride) than positively charged substances (unmeasured cations h+), which consume the bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate).
