A member asked:

I have a ten year old girl that started out with a headache and a sour throat and a fever of a 104. breaking out in a rash now could it be measles?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Strep??: If your daughter has been vaccinated with 2 MMR vaccine, it is unlikely that she has measles. On the other hand, it is very possible that she may have strep throat which needs to be treated with antibiotics. Strep throat is often associated with sore throat, headache, stomachache, and fever. A strep rash is usually referred to a scarlet fever. You should be seen by your doctor for treatment.
