A member asked:

How long does it take cin111 to turn into cervical cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Months to years: Progression to invasive cancer occurs in approximately 1% of cin1, 5% in cin2 and at least 12% in cin3. Progression to cancer takes a time period of years. Also, evidence suggests that cancer can occur without first detectably progressing through these stages and that a high grade intraepithelial neoplasia can occur without first existing as a lower grade. Pap smears with your doctor saves lives.
