More info needed: Are you asking if you broke your 5th metatarsal bone? You will need to see a specialist (podiatrist or orthopedist) who will order an x-ray (usually done in office) to determine and to assist in making the correct treatment decision. Depending on severity of the fracture treatment may consist of a walking boot, cast, and/or surgery if necessary.

Depends on fracture: If fractured, your foot may need to be immobilized with a splint, cast, or rigid walking boot depending on the location and orientation of the injury. If fractured, it may need to be reduced in the office or possibly in the operating room. Have it evaluated by your physician to get the appropriate treatment.
