A member asked:

Boil under tongue in 2 hrs on frenulum after oral sex given to a woman. discomfort but not painful. is it std? how do i treat it?

Probably not: Not likely a std. Would not show up this quickly. Probability due to tram to the tonque from the activity, especially near the frenum. May have rubbed against your lower teeth. It will heal shortly. Little can be done on this site besides rinsing, best with hot salt water twice daily for 30 sec. Any questions, visit your dentist.

Trauma : The "boil" is more likely a traumatic ulcer from rubbing of the frenum (fibrous attachment) of the tongue across the sharp edges of your lower front teeth. It will heal in 10-14 days. The formation of a sore from an std is highly unlikely but future sores are not if your partner is infected. Be sure. Be safe. And remember that stds are not always visible and can be contagious without sores.
