Side effect: Take a home test if you suspect pregnancy. One of the side effect is irregular bleeding. In one study with german women, 10% stopped taking it for this reason. However, you just started so give it 6 months unless the irregular bleeding becomes extremely bothersome. Give the doctor who prescribed it a call. Good luck.
