Will my stretch marks from being pregnant really ever fade? will i ever have abs again?

Dr. Pam Yoder answered

Abs yes/Marks maybe: If one looks closely, stretch marks may be barely visible after delivery. Development of abdominal muscles through exercise is possible for most women after doctor approves it. The exception to both is the case of women having large uterus from multiple gestation. The muscles can pull apart, requiring surgery to bring them back to the midline of the abdomen.

Tummy Tuck?: Depending on the location of the stretch marks on your abdomen, tummy tuck surgery may be helpful. This operation involves removal of excess skin and adipose tissue as well as re approximation of the abdominal wall muscles that may have spread with pregnancy and/or weight gain/loss. Consultation with board certified plastic surgeons may be helpful to you.
