Yes: Unfortunately, it might mean that the baby is not longer viable. At 41, you are at increased risk of chromosome abnormalities, which are the most common reasons for miscarriage and pregnancy loss. At 8 weeks pregnant, you generally should still be having symptoms. You should contact your OB and get an ultrasound to make sure that the baby is ok. Good luck.
