When should we hear and see fetal heart pulsation ?

How?: On transvaginal ultrasound a heart beat can usually be seen at 6 weeks. On abdominal ultrasound it can be seen at 8-10 weeks, depending on the machine and your size. It often can be heard with a hand held doppler between 10-12 weeks.
