A member asked:

Are large clots (as big as my palm) normal to pass after intercourse when i'm on my last day of my cycle? i never pass clots after my second day or so

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Clots/sex: Large clots are difficult to pass through the narrow cervical canal, but with sexual activity, the uterus will contract and push out a clot which does not pass spontaneously. If your periods are much heavier, and if you do not have contraindications, you might regulate your cycle with oral bcp, and the large clots ( and PMS ! ) will usually stop.
