Wht can someone get prescribed by a doctor for severe lower back pain?

Anti-inflammatory: I usually start with an anti-inflammatory and at times a short course of steroids. Some patients have muscle spasms and may benefit from a muscle relaxant. With severe pain some patients may need a narcotic medication.
