Yes.: If a urethral stricture does not respond to dilation or incision (dviu), a surgery can be performed called a urethroplasty to remove the scarred segment of tissue. After excision, the two ends of the urethra are brought together. If this is not possible because the distance is too long, a graft of tissue is placed to substitute for the urethra in that region.
