Fibromyalgia: Inflammation is not considered part of fibromyalgia. Indicators of an inflammatory process such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, or lyme's disease etc are not part of fibromyalgia. In fact the diagnosis of fibromyalgia as the only diagnosis is a diagnosis of exclusion. Must rule out other disease processes that could cause the symptoms.
