Are his socks: A little on the wet side at the end of the day? He may sweat....There are many sweat glands on the bottom of the feet, and this may be a potential problem. Try soaking his feet in warm water and tea bags...The tannic acid in the tea will dry out the feet from over active sweat glands and then the smell usually dissipitated as well when the sweating is controlled. Start off nightly, and go to weekl.

A few ideas...: Certain shoes can make feet smell a lot worse (such as certain rubbers/plastics, and shoes that don't lock in moisture). Try different shoes and keep an eye on the results. Some people have found benefit using mild over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide acne medication to help (such as every other night on feet's sweaty areas). One can try it on just 1 foot, and compare with the other, for a few weeks.
