No: Steroids are used to treat inflammation, which is often a symtpom of viral infections, but by definition do not "cure" viral infections. Some anti-viral medications will help slow and shorten the progression of viral illnesses. Rest, plenty of fluids, and supportive measures go a long way to help fight off viral infections as well.
