49 yo w/dizzy spells: It would be good to see your pmd first to check your blood sugars and blood pressure. Cardiac, kidney and eye problems may also cause dizziness. Inflammation of the balance nerve, especially after a recent cold can lead to dizziness. Your pmd can rule out many of these potential causes and can start treatment if needed. You may also need to see a specialist, like an otolaryngologist (ent).
