It depends...: Half-life of thc is 2-12 days; the more often you smoke the more accumulates& the longer it takes to eliminate. For you it's probably 7-10 days.If the half life is 7 days that means 6 weeks after stopping 1/64 of it will still be there;if the half life is 10 days 1/16 will remain.Traces will remain til delivery. Not where we look: If a pregnant lady is placed on a cps watch for suspected cannabis or other drug use, we look at pee & poo, not the placenta. The material will not be detectable in the babies pee if mom stopped a week or so before, but can be found in the first stool for months after stopping.

Just the facts: The: Level of thc in the placenta depends on the dosage & regularity of your use & how rapidly you metabolize the drug. "washout" doesn't work. If your baby's length, weight &/or head circumference are small for gestational age, it alerts you & the doctors of the need for early intervention for your baby's optimal development. Later-onset adhd, +/-learning & behavior problems can occur without sga.
