Can you ever drink grapefruit juice while taking lipatore?

No: It is not recommended to drink grapefruit juice if you're on lipitor, (atorvastatin) you can try other statins instead. Your physician will know which (more than one choice) statins are safe to take if you want to continue to drink grapefruit juice.

No grapefruit: Juice or whole fruit with lipitor, (atorvastatin) lovastatin, some calcium channel blockers & other drugs handled by the cyp3a4 system. Your body needs 3 days to recover from eating grapefruit, so waiting a few hours doesn't help. Talk with your doc about different statin like pravastatin or Crestor ... Or say "aloha" to grapefruit. Great question.
