Neuroophthalmologist: You need a second opinion from a neuro-ophthalmologist. Most common causes of bell's are viral. Other causes include lyme disease, diabetes, ear infection, epstein-barr virus, herpes zoster, hiv, tb, infectious lmononculeosis, hyperthyroidism and rarely wegener's disease, lupus and tumor or even rarer aneurysm. Mri and blood work up. Get second opinion.

See a specialist: Recurrence of bell's palsy is rare. If not done already, you should have an imaging study such as a ct scan or MRI scan. You also should have a complete evaluation by a facial surgeon or neurologist who is familiar with the management of bell's palsy.

See surgeon: Recurring facial nerve weakness that is not showing full recovery may benefit from decompression of the facial nerve. If facial nerve function is returning to normal, decompression may be more controversial. See neurotologist with experience in facial nerve decompression procedures.
