Not sure: I'm not sure what you mean by tightness, but it doesn't sound like something serious. Certainly sleeping on the same side all the time may be contributing. Chronic rhinitis can cause a runny nose especially in the winter months when the air is dry. Rinsing your nose out with saline solution can be a big help.
