Do a pregnancy test: If you had abnormal period and are having unprotected sex you need to do a blood pregnancy test if the urine was negative and you still have concerns that you might be pregnant.

Pregnant?: The first thing to rule-out is pregnancy. You could also have an ovarian "follicular cyst", where an egg did not release and now the ovary is secreting an imbalance of hormones. This is usually self correcting unless severe pain or other severe symptoms develop. A pregnancy test, pelvic exam, and occasionally a sonogram become necessary.
