Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) and Beta: The adhd effects of adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine)? Generally, no. But Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) can increase the heart rate and blood pressure in some people - and that can be countered by beta blockers. Beta blockers do make some people tired, so if Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) tends to wake a person up, that potentially could be offset by a beta blocker.

No: I would avoid the combination of beta-blockers and adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) produces widespread sympathetic nervous system activation via its action on Alpha and beta adrenergic receptor stimulation. Adding a beta-blocker could result in unapposed Alpha adrenergic receptor stimulation and result in a hypertensive crisis and cardiac problems including heart attack.
