No: If you had been consistent with your intake of bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) it has been proven to prevent pcp close to 99.9% effective, so that illness in the right host that had been consistent with their bactrim, (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) the doctor start looking for other reason for the symptoms than pcp.
