Depends: If the abdominal pains are low like menstrual cramps it could be from the iud. If the pain is higher up there could be another cause. If your pain is really bad get checked out. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud with Progesterone in it can occasionally cause mood swings in women sensitive to hormones. The paragard does not. Speak with your doctor about this.
